Yes, all our essential oils are 100% pure with no synthetic additives, fillers, or chemicals. We prioritize purity and transparency to ensure the highest quality.

Yes, essential oils should be diluted with a carrier oil before skin application to reduce the risk of irritation. A common ratio is 1–2 drops of essential oil per teaspoon of carrier oil.

Not all essential oils are safe for children or pets, and some can be harmful if used improperly. For oils with a higher potential for harm, VivApotheca packages them with child-resistant caps to promote safe handling. However, we urge customers to exercise caution and keep all essential oils out of reach of children and pets. Although we mark oils that may pose risks to young children or animals, it’s essential to consult a pediatrician or veterinarian before using any essential oils around them. Avoid oils like peppermint, eucalyptus, wintergreen, and ginger for young children, as these can be especially potent.

When stored properly in a cool, dark place, essential oils have a long shelf life.  Generally, most oils maintain their quality for at least 1–2 years. Citrus oils typically begin to degrade after 6–12 months. 

Some oils, like patchouli, sandalwood, and vanilla, can even improve with age.

VivApotheca oils, however, are packaged in premium violet glass bottles, which prevents the oils from degrading, giving them a much longer shelf life, without the need for preservatives. Violet glass is the absolute best available storage container for essential oils.

If irritation occurs, wash the area with soap and water. Discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider if irritation persists.

At this time, we can only process payments using a single payment method per order.

We offer domestic and international shipping to many countries. Shipping rates and times vary depending on the location.

We do accept returns on unopened, sealed products, within a 30 day return period, from the date of delivery.

We do not accept returns of any products after they’ve been opened.

Domestic orders typically arrive within 3–7 business days, while international shipping times vary. You will receive a tracking number once your order is shipped.

We offer free standard shipping on all U.S. orders. Express shipping options may be available for an additional fee. You’ll see all available shipping options at checkout after entering your shipping address. We also offer international shipping for customers outside the U.S.

Yes, we offer free shipping on all domestic orders in the US. For international orders, we offer free shipping on orders over $75.

For safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on opened essential oil bottles. Please contact us if you have concerns about your purchase.

Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after we receive the returned item. Please allow additional time for the refund to appear in your account.
